EU-RISE

The EU-RISE project includes a market analysis of future space services and the development of an end-to-end demo scenario aimed at bringing building blocks and robotic elements manufactured in Europe in recent years to market maturity and providing an open-source method for further development.

REACT

How can an intact environment and efficient agriculture be reconciled? How can the security of the food supply be guaranteed without increasing the use of pesticides and decreasing biodiversity at the same time? The EU-funded REACT project contributes to answering these questions by exploring new ways of pest control using the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT). Oikoplus takes care of the target group oriented communication in REACT. From the visual identity of the project, to the website and social media channels, to targeted campaigns to engage farmers, from citizen science to layman-friendly project publications, we ensure that REACT’s innovative research approaches and technology reach their target groups on three continents.

EnergyMeasures

Did you know that between 50 and 125 million people in the EU are at risk of energy poverty? In the EnergyMeasures project, we are addressing the growing problem of energy poverty by mapping affected households in seven European countries. Oikoplus has developed a communication strategy to reach targeted policy makers and stakeholders in Europe. Creative communication formats are at the heart of our work: from videos to engage households to playful ways of communicating energy saving measures – we make communication as entertaining and service-oriented as possible. This has resulted in a series of energy-saving tips that are distributed as social media shareables in multiple languages. We have also developed an energy-saving quartet.

Domino-E

Have you ever tried to take a step back and look at the earth from a distance? And from a very great distance at that? We are doing just that and venturing into space for the first time! DOMINO-E is an EU-funded project to democratize Earth observation data. Together with the project partners, we are working to improve the access to data resulting from the observation of the Earth. Oikoplus is responsible for the efficient and target group-oriented communication of the project. A joint communication strategy was developed in a series of workshops. Through webinars, a series of events and a lead nurturing campaign, SMEs in particular are to be addressed as stakeholders.

TANDEMS

How and when will the European energy transition succeed? In the EU LIFE project TANDEMS, together with Belgian, Bulgarian and Dutch partner organizations, we are testing possible ways and solutions to produce and market energy in a clean, locally and decentrally managed way. TANDEMS aims to actively engage citizens in the transition to clean energy through knowledge exchange, the development of open collaboration models, and the designing and testing of pilot processes and prototypes. TANDEMS brings together three European regions for this purpose: Antwerp in Belgium, Achterhoek in the Netherlands, and Burgas and Gabrovo in Bulgaria. And we, Oikoplus, supported the project consortium in communicating the project results by implementing an output-oriented participation process and designing a road show.

ArcheoDanube

How can archaeological cultural heritage be sustainably integrated into urban development and how can residents benefit from it in their everyday lives? This is the question addressed by the ArcheoDanube project, in which we developed a mobile app together with our partner Sustainication e.V.: ArcheoTales! The app for Android and iOS enables the playful transfer of knowledge about archaeological sites and cultural heritage. In the form of a digital scavenger hunt, users can track down archaeological finds and discover treasures of the past in an innovative way.

Syncity

How can urban change be made appealing, equitable and sustainable? As part of the SYNCITY project, we explored opportunities for citizen participation in urban renewal processes, taking a closer look at the Cureghem neighborhood in Brussels. Together with our project partners, we developed a toolbox over a period of three years. It offers innovative concepts and practical ideas based on the experience we have gained in Brussels, which makes it particularly valuable for socio-economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. We were able to realize our vision of bringing people together, regardless of their socio-economic or cultural background, to jointly shape their urban environment.
